Our Philosophy
Ethical farming practices
We are working to improve our production practices to ensure our animals are happy and experience as little stress as possible. We have adopted the Five Domains approach to animal welfare, which emphasises the importance of positive mental or emotional experiences in addition to physical vitality for improved animal welfare. One way we do this is through use of low stress stock handling techniques, including use of working dogs to muster animals with as little noise and stress and possible. We also have water troughs in every paddock to ensure our animals have access to clean drinking water and are assigned to mobs of sufficient size to promote social contact with other cattle.

Biosecurity
Our commitment to biosecurity is at the core of our cattle farming philosophy. We understand that safeguarding the wellbeing of our cattle is crucial for both animal welfare and the sustainability of our business and have developed a Biosecurity Policy applicable to all staff, visitors and contractors. Our biosecurity measures encompass strict protocols designed to minimise the introduction and spread of diseases and weeds. Some examples include controlled access to our property, administration of vaccinations and strict controls on foreign animals entering the property.
Technology & Innovation
We have implemented the latest technology to improve the efficiency of our business while also improving the welfare of our animals. We have acquired an Optiweigh portable weighing system that provide us with regular weight data on our cattle in the paddock, providing regular weight data to inform decision making. This system also reduces the frequency of bringing cattle into the yards, therefore improving animal welfare through reduced stress.

Safety & Mechanisation
We take safety of our people very seriously and have clear Work Health & Safety policies regarding use of personal protective equipment. We have also acquired equipment such as a jib crane on the work ute for lifting heavy objects.
